Cruisin' with an M3

I felt really good Saturday afternoon on my way back to my place after an encounter with an M3. Was drivin down the NJ Turnpike when I saw a '97/'98 M3 (boxy looking) pullin hard. The traffic was heavy so there wasn't much room to move around, not that I'd try to give him a run or anything in my '02 SE Auto. We took turns speeding up and hangin' back when the traffic lightened up. Coincidentally we ended up getting off at the same exit, and he showed me some of his handlin capabilities as he took a turn after the toll and around 40-50MPH, no body roll or anything. In anycase, we hung next to each other for a while and we happened to be goin in the same direction. When I got to my apartment complex, he was a few car lengths behind, I hung back a bit before I made the turn and as he drove by he gave me a peace sign and I waved back as I turned. Guess he respects the Maxima I mean, we're no where near his performace capabilities, but the car is something to be proud of.

During the cruise at the Austin, TX meet, Josh (not sure sure of his screen name) in his 4th gen blew past a new M5. The M5 flew by us first, but Josh caught up to him and passed him. Of course, the M5 had cars in front of him

there's a reason why i bought one an M and a Maxima......most m3 owners are pretty nice.....at least the ones I have encountered at the track and stuff....yes, you can feel a HUGE difference in the bimmer compared to the maxima, but the maxima is the ultimate combo between sport car and sedan
