Unique Paint?

Hey,

I have the same problem too with my Maxima. I was wondering with anyone had any information about the factory paint. Like how does Nissan get the paint, whether it is manufactured elsewere or they make it themselves and is this paint unique to Nissan car.

Thanks

The paint comes from the hills of southern nigeria where the shy Opalka tribe mixes the correct ingredients collected from various rare and obscure natural resources. Nissan then puts the thinest coat possible on your car to reserve the resources of this very special and rare paint. I think it costs as much as $150 an ounce...so be greatful that your whole car is painted with it!

A little known fact.

I'm not exactly sure where it's made (I figure in Japan since the Max is manufactured there) but i think the paint quality has more to do with environmental law. Can't recall the exact one.

Alright, alright, I'll play nice in the sandbox. Sincerest apologies fiyaman...WELCOME!

And I have no idea where the paint is made. But it's no Dunn Edwards, that's for sure.
