My wife doesnt want to spend $400 on a new exhaust. For some reason, on the '02 maximas they left out the chrome hood that covers both exhaust pipes. They look a bit skinny!

Has anyone dressed them up a bit without it looking RICE? Is it possible to but that hood online?

4" tips on a muffler looks okay, but not 4" bolt on tips from Pep Boys heh

 

It doesnt loook like my 2k2 has 2" pipes. I think they did add tips to the pipes, but they are very discrete. I measured them, and it looks like they are close to 2.5" in diameter. Has anyone removed these little tips yet? My guess is that they are welded on.

 

Yes, they are welded on. The square looking tip on my 2K also was welded on and had to cut them off to put extensions on like this:


I plan on doing the same thing to my 2002 today.....
