04 max vs. 03

Hey guys... what do you like better so far from what you've seen the '03 or '04. Personally i like the 03 more because of the way it is.. the onl thing that makes the 04 good is that its a new maxima lol.. i sat in it yesterday and i wasnt too amazed.. the interior is amazing.. the skyview roof thing is horrible and the outside is whatever... i didnt like the engine bay too much because it was all covered and stuff.. plus the grille was ewww hahaah the interior and the year 04 is all it has going for it in my opinion.. tell me what you guys think

It all depends on what you like, I like the 5th gen because it is the last "unique" looking Max. The 6th gen is to Altimaish for my liking but for each his own.

the only reason why i like the 6th gen is because of the long and thin sunroof(that doesnt open i think)

I think you need to grow up, or maybe find some way to maturely express yourself because your vocab/grammar is "ewwwwww" bad

I actually liked it a lot in the '04 SE that I drove the other day...adds light to the whole cabin, not just the front seats. I never open my sunroof, so the fact that it doesn't open didn't bother me.

I wasn't too fond of the 04 when I saw its debut pics, but that thing was a BEAST when I saw it in person. It looks like a car on steroids or something. It looks like a monster and I can't wait to test drive it.

Thank god for Nissan...can you imagine having to choose between a camry or accord, or some boring TL? Oh yeah, I forgot, you could fork over 10K more and get a German car that will have an electrical fire after the warrantee runs.

I'm sure they will fix that grill and do some cool stuff with the years to come, but its a damn great start for a new generation sports sedan.

According to Kelley Blue Book it will be an option in September on the SE only. Just look under options in the new car pricing.

I am jealous of the IRS on the 2004...and I like the rear end of the 2k4 better...(though both are ugly IMO)

I just wish it was RWD or AWD to get rid of some of the torque steer.

From what I hear, the plastics in the 2004 aren't as good as the 2k3...well, they did the same thing from the 3rd Gen to the 4th, and from the 4th to the 5th...so it's no wonder they got cheaper again with the 6th gen...

Hopefully the 7th Gen (2008?) will start to put quality back in the interior materials (we all know the engine is a nice peice)

the 1st and 2nd Gen weren't that great, but the 3rd Gen is what started a following...(maybe I'm wrong, but I didn't know what a maxima was until my mom brought home a 1993 model in 1993...loved that thing. then she got a 1996 model, and it didn't seem quite as nice (but the VQ upgrade was nice) and I had 1998 model...my 2k3 is not as good on the interior, so it figures the 2k4 is worse....

damn I need to quit writing when i'm high from working out...jeez!

On saturday, I drove to a nissan dealer 50 miles away just becuase they had the 04 I was intersted in. I went there unsure on how I felt about the way it looked and everything else. Upon arriving, after 10 minutes, I traded in my 01 max and bought the car. It looks and drives great. Click on my homepage for pics.

I was over at Quirk Nissan in Braintree Mass. the other day checking out the 2004 Maximas. They have a large inventory of them, probably
20 or so in stock. I drive a 2002 SE 6spd and I think I will be sticking with it. I like the overall styling of the 2002/2003 inside
and out better than the 2004's. Only thing I like better about the 2004's are the available 18" rims and the exhaust.

no the start of a sports sedan should be MUCH smaller than the one I saw. the thing looked like it was gonna eat two (and a half) Mini Coopers!

Looking at the pics on 2004BlackMax's homepage, it isnt too bad looking but that from grill is fugly. I'd have to get a nose mask if I got a 6G.

Hey 2004BlackMax, does that sticker tag show an MSRP of $35,XXX for your Max?? (I can't quite make out the sticker price.)

That's kinda expensive for a Maxima. I mean WOW!! The MSRP on a G35 Sedan (w/leather, Navi, Sport Suspension, Sunroof and Bose) is $34.5G.

Anyway, nice ride. (I just didn't think it would run mid-$30s though.)
