Wonder if Nissan is playing the Horsepower game with the 04 as well

They are quoting 260 horses now look under charting the changes for 2004.

Looks like the Altima is only rated for 245 now too.

That is interesting.

I wonder how much the CAI has to do with the increase in HPs.

Increase in HP? It's a decrease. Look at http://www.nissan.ca/en/vehicles/maxima/index.html , and you'll see they claim 265HP for the Max. While in their new news release they are saying 260HP.

I sent an email to everyone on the contact list at nissannews.com. This is the only reply I received, from "Gallagher, Tim" <tim.gallagher@nissan-usa.com>

Thanks for the note; unfortunately, the HP number is incorrect and was in the process of being updated. You are correct, it should be 265.

As for the other topic, I'd suggest you contact Nissan Customer Affairs at 800-647-7261.
