I know that courtesy parts refer to it as being on the A34 platform. Anyone with a owner's manual care to confirm?

edit: Meant to say A34 not A33.

i thought it was the FM platform. i though A32 was 4th gen, A33 5th gen, and the 6th gen is something else.

why did you call me stupid, then edit your post? pocket is right as far as i know, but im not sure about the name of the altima platform type. im pretty sure they all use the basic FM platform. and what does this mean:
ZapataMax04: forget the fm pm am look under both cars and and you teel me if its not the same......................

what exactly do you mean?

Looks like I missed a poor posting, insults and all.

Advanced FM (Front midship) platform is a primarily RWD platform used on FX, G35 (Skyline), Z, Stagea, etc.

FFL (front-front-large) platform is primarily FWD platform used on current Maxima, Altima, Murano, Presage, etc.

Just to clarify ... hope it clears up any confusion. Advanced-FM and FFL platforms are completely different.
