difference/ between cel and service engine soon

difference/ between cel and service engine soon

does the max have a check engine light and a service engine soon?

They are the same thing. Different people (dealers) call them different things from what other people (us) call them. Also, different cars have different writings on the lamp. The most popular are:

SES - Service Engine Soon Light
CEL - Check Engine Light
MIL - Malfunction Indicator Lamp

Even thought they have 3 different names, they are all the same.

well i decided to look this up and a steady ses light as you call it means an emissions control malfunction and a blinking ses means your fuc...!
