HID out already

My Max has 2000 miles on it. My HID headlight out already. Anyone esle?

Suppose this is covered by warranty? Or will they call that "normal wear and tear"?

take it back to your dealer and ask them. It's way too early for an HID to go out.

Yeah, unless you left them on for about 3 months straight, they should not go out so quickly. I doubt the dealer will give you any trouble at all.

I had this problem with my old Acura TL-S. The dealer replaced it without a problem. But one bulb was a different color than the other. This was because one capsule had time to "burn-in" and it was a bit more blue. You might want to just buy two bulbs such as Philips Ultinon you can pick them up for $250 or so probably the price of a new OEM one from the dealer....if they dont replace it for free.

Blowing fuses

It's not the light. Everytime they replace the bulb, the fuse blows...must be a short. They had to keep it overnight.

Day 3 and still no headlight working

Now the HID Control unit is bad.
And...guess what....no parts.
Dealer..."what do you expect from a 2004 car...parts to be in stock?"

Never had anything yet fixed in one visit or in less than 3 days.

I guess I could drive around with no headlight til' I get arrested, eh?

First phrase that came out of my mouth would have been...

"Great, where is my rental?" Its unsafe to drive with one or even both out... I would tell the dealer I want a rental or someone to drive me around

Tell them to pull the unit off of another car on the lot; they can wait for the unit, not you.

Finally fixed!

Took it in the 10th, got in back 15th...all for a headlight?
Burned out headlight...no it blows fuses...must be the control unit....have to order....did not work....must have burnt up a wire....was not a wire after all, but a loose connection.

Excellent diagnosis by the dealer, eh?
