As soon as I decided to seek an Attorney, they stopped paying the bills. They knew they would at least have to cover them when a settlement was reached, but they had no reason to pay. Most personal injury attornies cover medical costs while working the case because most insurance companies do this. Or so my attorney told me.

After the attorney took his share and paying the left over bills the insurance company did not pay, I was left with about 5,000 dollars. That is nothing. The time I spent because of this accident was worth more then that.

I have a friend who had the same result in a similar accident, with a different insurance company and a different attorney.

Thats is terrible, but every situation IS diffrent, where you involved in a 4 car collision ? Did you get knocked all over the highway & almost get killed ? Did the person who cause the accident admit to the police "he couldnt stop" causing it ? I wonder if the Highway Patrol citied the person who hit you for driving at a unsafe speeds ? Did you have a good insurance company / lawyer ? This is a serious accident and very scary. Its not some minor bumper tap. 2 trucks against my MAX ? Not good.

Its not about money its about paying for my wrecked car and every thing that comes with it.

I must say the car SAVED my life. it took those hits all around like a champ..alot of cars couldnt have taken that impact with TWO TRUCKS and another car and not been totalled out.

Whenever someone says "it's not about the money", it's almost always about the money.

I know people are encouraging lawsuits for health, loss of value, etc I'd like to offer a different perspective. If your doctor feels that your health issues are short term, I encourage you to let the insurance company pay and put suing people out of your mind. We've become a very litigious society, and people scratch their heads when insurance rates are continually boosted.

Of course, if your injuries are long-term, then by all means go for it. Even still, don't expect much out of it. Lawyers are truly the only ones that make money in the majority of these situations.
