Toyota, Nissan Lead Asian Autos to Record U.S. Share (Update1)
Feb. 3 (Bloomberg) -- Toyota Motor Corp. and Nissan Motor Co. led Asia-based automakers to record U.S. market share in January, helped by demand for new and redesigned vehicles

Nissan, Japan's third-largest automaker, increased total sales to 72,164 cars and trucks, with gains of 32 percent to 62,772 for the Nissan brand and 22 percent to 9,392 for Infiniti. The company gained 1.3 points of market share to 6.4 percent.

Thanks for the article link. I'm not surprise about VW since they have aging models and poor relablity. BMW is what really suprised me that they had a decrease.

Agreed, VWs are over priced, and offer sub-standard quality. I also find thier sales people discourteous (at least at the three VW dealerships in my city).
