There is a TSB at Nissan's tech-info site: You can review part of it here:

I will for sure be reviewing this with my dealer...

So if I get a metal or nylon spacer that's about 3/8" long that should do the trick. An easy thing I can fix myself is no problem. Now for the rear deck rattle...I printed the TSB and thought I could save it for when I get the 'how was your buying experience' survey and get that fixed and my car detailed or something in exchange for a good survey rating. That's a whole 'nother story though.

Thanks to Edify for linking me to the fix!

My box was replaced by the dealer. sometimes what you think is missaligned can be a defective box. bring them into the dealer and they will order you another one. Poughkeepsie Nissan in NY did a MINT job on mine. and there pretty good at getting rid of the shimmy!!!! Ask for Tim Durkin 845 297 0077 in service. tell him brian sent you. if you live nearby.

printed out the TSB and took it to my dealer and they have to do what everybody else here has done (order some washers and) and now i have to take my car back next week for them to actually fix it.

Any idea why NTB04-050 is not listed on theowens.com site? Anyone have an e-copy of hte actual TSB? It'd be nice to see what they actually do to fix it. Hard to believe they just put washers in. But like I said, if I can avoid having my car at the dealer I will.

Thanks a bunch, I may email that to theowens.com so they can add it to their list. That's a great service they have there.

I read through the TSB and it seems odd that they would remove material, then add a taller bumper to push the corner outward...I'll have to get in my car to see the logistics of this, but the idea is to move the right corner inward, not the left corner outward, which it seems like a taller bumper would do.

Smokescreen - The taller rubber bumper would go on the upper LEFT corner, forcing that corner slightly OUTWARD. As the door is held at a constant point in the middle by the latch, the left corner coming OUT means the RIGHT corner will be going IN, which means it will no longer be stickling out beyond the dash.

This glove box door misalignment has only been a problem for sixteen months. We need to be patient; Nissan will fix this on the assembly line within the next few years . . .

I took mine in last week and had a few TSB's fixed. They fixed the glovebox, replaced the center console because my armrest wouldnt stay lowered and my cupholder lid came out of the track. They also replaced the brake pads, turned the rotors slightly and theres something out there for the A/T shifting funny. Im working on that one. Didnt spend a dime. They even gave me a 05 Altima to drive for a couple of days.
