XM or Sirius?

Thinkin about adding Sat radio. Being new to Sat radio how is the sound quality? Like Radio/CD/Cassette? Any reception issues?

What made you choose XM over Sirius or Sirius over XM?

Where did you get your unit and how much did it cost.

Thanks
Chris

SIRIUS, by far, is the way to go. The programming is much better and they offer more variety. Only thing is it's about $3 more a month than XM. But, SIRIUS always runs specials on their payment plans...such as, I purchased my SIRIUS install kit for my wife's Pathfinder and got service for 15 months, prepackaged, for $150 up front... Don't know if they're still offering that though... Anyway, you can visit the websites to sample some of the programming yourself:

SIRIUS Website or XM Website

Also, you can find what you need for 6th Gen (or other NISSAN vehicles) Satellite radio installs here:

Grubbs Infiniti Website

Hope this helps!!!

I have XM. I only went with it because it was packaged with the car.

Previous posts that I have read on the subject have leaned in favor of XM for overall sound quality, and lack of commercials.

I don't know how Sirius programming is, but with the selection of channels that XM provides, I can't imagine anyone saying that it is lacking.

My only complaint is that XM from the dealer on the Max only displays the first 10 characters of Title/Artist/Station. I have heard that Sirius does not have this limitation.

My question is why you have to pay $400 for sat radio on the Maxima when its standard on the Accord EX models?!

I think first of all, Honda offers so many damn trim/options for their Accord it's really ridiculous...kind of how Ford does their trucks (F150, to be specific). Have you seen how many different variations of the dang truck they offer?!! It gets confusing after looking @ it all. Anyway, I agree that it should @ least be standard on the SL model...but, I really think that Nissan started biting into the SAT radio trend as an "after-thought" and didn't think to include it in one of it's option pkgs... Maybe they'll make this so w/ the 2005 model...

I have had Sirius for over a year now and I am VERY happy with it. I got my equipment for free from Sirius in Feb. 2003. The only thing I am not too thrilled about was having to use an FM modulator with my stock BOSE.
