Painted my brake calipers today - Pics inside

Hey guys - i decided i'd stop being lazy and that i'd paint my brake calipers today. I'm filthy, tired and have black paint on my hands, but i'm a "happy" guy.

I used this kit. Cost me $19.95 up here in Ontario, Canada:

Good cleaner and paint, but the paintbrush sucks. Buy a good paint brush if you plan on using this kit. The paint dries to touch pretty quickly.

I painted my calipers black (silver car):

Looks great in the front where you see a lot of the caliper, but the effect is less dramatic in the rear with stock wheels.

I also took the opportunity to clean the inside of my wheels while they were off the car. I did one wheel at a time, since i don't have car jacks. The inside of the front wheels were horribly dirty. I gave my a wheels a few coats of wax inside and out. That should help keep the dirt away.

BTW... don't mind the rusty rotors, i washed my car yesterday and havn't driven it since.

All in all a good day,

Bob

Really need a better view...like a couple of pics showing the whole side view of the car... Then we can decide if it looks good or not...

I'll take a pic. But i think it'll be hard to see the calipers from that far way ?

your wheels look flawless, like brand new, i have scrapes on the inner lug holes where the fools at the dealership dont care when using a torque wrench

Calipers look good. I guess you didn't take them off? Just painted them in place?

Now if only we can get you to change the front grill you can be one of the cool kids like the rest of us.

Looks pretty darn good! I didn't realize you would be able to paint your calipers without even taking them off. Was that pretty simple to do. Also, what kind of wax did you use on your rims?

Thanks....it was time consuming but very simple. I used Meguiar's NXT on my rims.

Is that an 04 Max you've got those calipers on? If so, please post some pics a little farther out. Thanks!

Coming from a VW site, I've got to say that most of those people (though young) know what they are doing. BUT, this is just plain retarted!!!!

This is a pic of my 3-gen. Sorry. 13" cobra rotors with 300z aluminum polished calipers. No 2k4 fitments that I know of.
