Check out my new pedals
Hey guys - i just installed a set of Ichibahn gas, brake and dead pedal.
Install was easy for the dead pedal and brake pedal. The gas pedal was not so easy. I did what "edify" suggested a few weeks ago and drilled through the stock pedal to install the clips. After a bit of blood, sweat, tears and minor swearing it finally bolted on:

Thecomplete set cost me $75 canadian.
Now i'm waiting for my TRENZ grill. I ordered the one with the logo cutout. Should be here this week.

I put some new pedals on too, the ones from courtesy parts. I had so much trouble getting the brake pedal on that I ended up trimming off some of the rubber on the bottom so that it fits around on the other 3 sides, and used some 3m double-stick tape to secure it. With the gas pedal, shaved off the parts on the back side that stuck out and just used only double stick tape since the rails of the new pedal lined up perfectly wiht the gas pedal. Looks great to me! The picture is for selling my CD changer, but you can see the pedals too...

Did you leave the original peadls on and just clip around, or replace the pedals?
thanks,
Justin
Thanks for the comments everyone.
Edify11 - thanks for the install idea.

I took the rubber off of the brake pedal and used the clips included in the kit. It feels pretty solid.
The dead pedal just screws right into the floor carpets/pad with no drilling required (also feels solid).
The gas pedal was a little more tricky. You have to drill though into the gas pedal to run the clips through it. You can not remove the gas pedal. Your only option is to screw through it from behind and use the clips. Or, i guess you could always drill through your pedals from the top and bolt the pedal over the stock one as a second option. Here's a gas pedal install pic from edify11's website (Edify11 - hope you don't mind):

BTW.... if you do this...be carefull when you're drilling and applying pressure. You don't want to break the plastic gas pedal off. And be prepared for when you break through, so you dont blast right thorugh unexpectedly and drill into your carpet on the other side ..whoooops !
Also it would have been a pretty easy install for the gas pedal if i would have had access to a dremel tool to adjust the holes that i had drilled for the clips.
I actually bought the pedals locally in a shop up here in Ottawa, Canada. I bought the pedals last Saturday and they had them in on the Monday. Don't know where they ordered them from but it must have been locally.
This is what you need:
Ichibahn Motorsports / Part numbers / For an automatic (they also have them for 6 speed):
2112415 (brake and gas)
2212415 (dead pedal)
They have these in different colours. Mine are "brushed aluminum".
You can buy them on-line here:
Go to: http://www.autobarn.com
Do a search on: Ichibahn Spot Series pedals on the home page of the Autobarn. You'll find 2 links. 1 for the "gas and brake" and 1 for the "dead pedal".
