seat shifting
I have brought it up before and can't remember anything that fixed it. months ago I was planning on taking the seat apart to figure it out but couldn't get around to it.
Here is the directions for the seat removal that I scanned a while back:

I've felt this "seat shift" a few times, but on mine it feels more like the lumbar support than the actual seat. For those of you with this problem, I'm curious to know if it is the actual seat that shifts or just the lumbar support.
I read other posts about the seat shifting when the seat was in the maximum back position, one poster commented on moving it forward a bit seemed to stop the shifting. Is your seatback all the way back when you are experiencing it?
Mine is most of the way back... I am 6'4" so I can't really comfortably pull it forward much.
Edify11: It is the actual seat that shifts. I too have lumbar movement too. That feels like the seat back is getting caught on a spring or something and then popping out when you lean forward. 2 different problems.

The service manager told me that even though my seat had the most play they have seen its just a feature of the seat.
Actually they are contacting Nissen support to come up with a solution. The seat is sliding on a back bar . There is no way to tighten this, but he feels if they add a bushing it should tighten the seat up and fix the problem.
When they call me back with an answer I'll repost.

Drivers seat shifting?
My Max has about 6000 miles on it. Over the past few weeks, I've noticed a "shifting" feeling in the drivers seat when I turn a corner. It's as if the seat anchors are loose and the seat shifts left to right. However, the seat frame is firmly tightened down. If I try to get the seat to move by hand, it seems rock solid. But... It still feels like the seat shifts slightly when I turn corners. It probably happens 50-60% of the time.
Has anyone else experienced this? Any thoughts?

I also have this issue, and of course my dealer could never replicate it... it seems to come and go though, with it mostly happeneing when the seat is as far back as it will go. Also, my lumbar support (I think) tends to 'pop' in and out.. something else my fabulous dealer cannot duplicate, although I might bring it in again since it is happening much more frequently lately.
I had the dealership look at mine. They said that it was where I set my seat position. If it is set at the furtherst forward or furthest backwards it doesn't shift. I tend to believe them. Its likely just a matter of where the seat it set on the track. I know it shouldn't matter, that the seat should be built to take that into account, but thats the way things are. I don't think there is a fix for that.
Just like how the shroud around the wiper/turn signal stalks is not quite level. Mine slopes down ever so slightly to the right side. Its not dead even when you compare it to the instrument cluster. Again, no fix for that, just the way things are.

You know, the more I pay attention to it, it almost seems like what I'm feeling is inside the seat bottom. Like there is something loose there and it shifts. I wonder if there's anything in the seat bottom that might cause this.
I have the leather seats. The dealership told me it was moving on a rod in the back of the seat. Mine was the worst they had seen. They called Nissan and was hoping to get a approval to put some rubbing bushings where the slipage was. This was over the summer and I forgot to ask last month when I brought the max in for an oil change. Hopefully I will remember the next time.

I had the same issue with shifting and cracking in the seat. The dealer replaced the seat bottom and all is fine now.
