Actually, some of them do work. I saw a show on Discovery or something like that where they put one of these to the test (I don't remember the brand name but it was just like a radar detector, little box you plug in and it works). The thing would jam both radar and laser right up to about 100 ft from the gun. I thought they were BS too but this changed my mind.

100ft? the problem with that is that the 5-0 usually gets you when you are more like 100+ yds away. sounds to me like spending the money on the jammer isn't worth it.

What I meant is that the speeding car remained undetected until it was WITHIN 100 ft of the radar gun implying that you can slow down before you're that close to the cop. The link 95Max posted states otherwise but I saw them repeat the tests over and over with this unit and it did work. Anyways, it looks like it's a risky item to purchase...it may or may not work.

ah haaaa, i see... thanks for the clarification... so then it DOES sound worth it. these cops in the great state of texas can be ruthless when it comes to speeding.
