Please help - Radar Detector or Jammer

Anyone have a suggestion?

Radar Detector is a defender, after receiving the signal and slowing down. Maybe too late?

Jammer can send back signal to avoid locked by on, but is it illegal? Also two types of Jammer - passive and active.

Which one should I go for - Radar Detector or Jammer ????

Please help !

a detector for traditional radar and for laser get a jammer, those are legal.

as for a comapny look into Escort, the passport 8500 is a great detector and they just came out with a new laser jammer

I don't trust jammers. I have always heard that they don't work. I have a Valentine One radar detector and love it. It has saved my *** many a time. If you don't want to pay that much get a Passport 8500. Either one will work bust most other detectors are worthless.

im pretty sure the jammer works. also i think they have a deal where if you get a ticket with a laser gun and your jammer on then they will pay for the ticket.

passive radar jammers do not work period. I've tried several brands with a friend who's a cop and none of them worked not matter what the price. Get the Valentine or the Escort 8500.

There are MULTIPLE loopholes in that offer. You can't be going 15 mph over the speed limit, etc, etc.

Don't believe everything you read. Passive jammers are a joke. ACTIVE jammers work, but good luck making one and also avoiding federal prison if you get caught using it.

Some jammers do work but once you're within 1 mile of the radar source, you can be clocked. What is does is buy you time to slow down before the police can ascertain your speed.

Your best be is to get a Valentine One in order to get the best radar/lidar detection possible.

I am not saying that all jammers are crap, however the ones that do sell jammers that do not work properly get away with paying for a ticket by their high prices. Lets say the jammer cost $20 to make and they sell it for $399. well when you get a ticket for about $150 on an average they are still ahead $230.

I think we need some people on the board that have experience with jammers to give thier input.

jammers are worthless. think asu said it before, but they don't work. also, there's something on the books that makes them illegal (may be part of some communications legislation) which says they keep cops from doing their jobs and you're interfering w/ radio signals. hit the internet and search for jammers to get the rundown, but bottom line is they don't work and worst case scenario, you could be sharing a cell w/ a guy named tiny who wants to make you his girlfriend.

passport 8500, and they have some kinda laser attachment (z3, zr3 or sumthin like that). check that out and the combo should do you alright.

when i said jammer i said LASER jammer, NOT radar. radar jammers are highly illegal, laser jammers on the other hand are legal.

the one i have seen is the laser jammer that escort makes. its like $400.
