Is it me or our our damn driver doors sounding lound and like hollow echoing when you close them? all the other doors shut nice and quiet, but oh know not the driver side. my car is like the house in the movie money pit

All 4 of my doors started to squeek... I tok my car to the dealer and they lubricated them all and that seemed to fix it.

i have the same problem the echo hollow sound. also as for squeaking doors is it free to get the dealer to lube them? i went to a dealer i didnt buy my car and they charged 16 dollars for one door lube saying i didnt buy my car here so they want money.

Yeah, I think it should be free since it would be covered under warranty...

I have noticed that same sound from mine, it sounds hollow and cheap, not the satisfying sound that my 97SE had. I have not as of yet mentioned it to the service department. I regret trading my 97 every day that I drive my 04SE. I am tired of dealing with the dealership and driving an inferior quality car....could have saved a lot of money and purchased a cheaper car with equal quality. The only thing my 04 has going for it is good looks and speed.

Mine has the cheap sound too. Maybe it is too hollow in the door or something? Perhaps filling it with Dynamat or something equivelant???? who knows... just a thought...

My driver's side door makes a sqeaking noise ocasionally. Kinda sounds like the hinges need greased.
