I pick up my new Max next Monday, wish me luck!!!!!

 

Wait, I thought they stopped producing that color fo the Max?

 

They did, but obviously there is stock on the dealers lots all over North America.

 

I had ordered an Altima but it was going to take too long to arrive, so my friend (and sales manager) said he could "give" me the Radiant Ember Max. It had been on the lot for over 100 days so he leased it to me for $399 a month, no money down. the sticker was $29500, i got the car for $1 over invoice.

 

Nice deal! I haven't seen a radiant ember on any dealer lot around here for six or eight months. The last radiant ember '04 Maxima was produced almost exactly a year ago.

stimpy14 - back in the winter and early spring, posters here were searching for a leftover radiant ember. What was it about your car (to be) that kept it on the lot for a year?

I.e., is it manual or auto? Is it stripped or equipped (or somewhere in between)? Does the steering wheel vibrate at certain speeds (especially between 50 and 60 MPH)?

We have no secrets on this board. If the dealer's pet skunk lived in this car for a year, tell us. We can't celebrate with you unless we know exactly what we are celebrating.

 

The car seemed fine on the test drive no wheel whobble up to 95 mph.

So the problem WAS the dealer's pet skunk living in the car!


A dollar over invoice on this car is a good deal. The base price of the SE has risen to over $27K since this car was produced. I feel this car might also be a goodie at trade-in time, as there were only a limited number of radiant ember Maximas made.

I am now fumbling through my old frat toga box searching for my kazoo. Once I find it, the celebration for stimpy and his radiant ember Maxima will ensue.

 

Welcome to the Radiant Ember Club. Be prepare for all the stares the car will get. People love the look, Yesterday had a girl pull up next to me and said Sexy color, Dam she was not talking about me.. grrrr lol

 

Thanks Bosjoe I can't wait, I told a SWEET bartender what car i got and she says "DID YOU GET THE ORANGE ONE???!!!"

My 4 previous Nissan were either black or dark green so this sould be interesting.

 

I guess it was left over because of the cloth and lacking one of the top 2 packages.
So that means great deal for you! Bose and sunroof are outstanding.

Doesn't it feel so great to get "your" car and a great deal? This is my 1st Nissan so it may mean more to me, but I just love my car.

You know, don't you, that for less than a grand you can have leather installed that is better-looking than stock?

Next car, I may have to consider a good deal on a cloth interior and an after-market leather job! Some of 'em I've seen are outstanding.

Picked it up today at 6:00 pm, only problem was a scratched lid on the storage bin below the radio, so that has to be replaced, but other than that every things seems perfect, no shimmy, and know idea how to tune the radio, guess I have to read the manual...lol.

 

where can you get this done? Or is this a general price? That sound really good. But like the Max to get certain features, they come in packages now that require leather.

Congrats and welcome. I'm sure you're gonna get a lot of stares. That color just yells for attention along with the Max's beauty. Remember to hold back until you break it in.

 

I Love the stares!!!!! Especially from other Max owners.. LOL

 

mine's a lease so i don't think i can mess with it that much.
