Honestly, I think that it's over-rated. The thing shifts too slowly to be any fun. The only time that I really use it is when I feel like hearing the VQ sing.

Race my car around all the time ( lets me keep it in the VQ powerband), it sucks for upshifting cause of the delay but downshifting is pretty precise, for quick passes and fun around ramps and turns. I also usually am speeding when I gotta get off my exit so i'll downshift and use the engine to slow me down cause we all know that slamming on the brakes hard will warp your f*cking rotors, espically around turns cause the outside rotor is taking all the weight of the car ( centrifugal force is always on the outmost portion of the radius) and weight applied with (perpendicular) shear stress causes a torsional flex in the rotor leading to warping.
Also tip is great in the snow cause when you brake in the snow the car goes where it wants, so downshifting controls the car more safely.

To upshift don't treat it like a manual....... stay on the gas!.... It shortens the delay greatly.
