navi with elite?
I am somewhat confused about the Elite package. I have received conflicting information about whether it has the Navi system or not. The Nissan website shows that the Navi comes with the Elite package, but sites like Edmunds say that it does not? Does it? Will it on 2005 models?
Thanks,
Kevin

entire 05 specs. 04 elite should have navi, but i know Nissan made it a seperate option from another package mid year, so may have changed.

Thanks for the information. It does appear that the NAV unit is a seperate option now. I assume that makes a Maxima with the NAV $2000 more than last years model?

This, IMO, did two things - allowed Nissan to sell more Elites and fulfill their vendor contract for back buckets that weren't being sold due to the high cost, and de-valued the Elites that were already sold with the NAVI due to the fact that now they are not true original Elites anymore, just cars with 4 seats instead of 5, and without NAV, it will be hard to get your $$$'s back at trade-in because most of the BlueBookers won't distinguish between Elites with and without NAV because more will have been sold without the NAVI option.
Anyway, this year the same holds true, you can get the Elite package without the NAVI, and if you want the NAVI it'll cost you $2K extra on top of the Elite package add. Either way, the NAVI gets you the color screen, and again IMO that is a much better deal because the orange screen leaves a lot to be desired.
