My non-nav clock runs a bit fast too and I discovered why.... The display is mounted close to the engine, and you know how fast they are !!!!

HAHAHAHAHA, yea that why.... our cars are so fast we jump into the future acouple of minutes.... if you go fast alot it adds up....

Naxi with no clock problems. I think the extra weight from the navi slows me down.

The Factory Clock Runs Fast...Anyone Else?

Ever since I installed my Sirius stand alone about a year ago I noticed that my factory clock runs fast. The Sirius unit displays actual GPS time and so I set my factory clock to match. After about 3 months or so my factory clock will be about 10 minutes fast. Just curious is anyone else noticed it or do I just have a screwed up clock.

This is a known and very prevalent problem. Anybody know of a fix?

Being a fastidious control freak, I check my '04 SL clock by the tone marking the exact hour every few weeks. So far it has kept good time. I would not be happy with a clock that gained ten minutes in a year, much less in a few months.

If my clock was that aberrant, and the dealer says there is no way to adjust the clock speed, I would insist on having it replaced.

Are you trying to venture into te theory of relativity here? 'Cause if you get the car fast enough time will stop in the car and you won't age, either. I hear th 6th gens can hit the speed of light with an aftermarket ECU and a y pipe.

All seriousness aside, my clock (albeit a 4th gen) works fine and I have it set consistantly 20 minutes fast. Most poeple think I'm crazy because I leave it fast like that, but I like it.
