drain holes in trunk lid?
drain holes in trunk lid?
I had rust-proofing done on my new MAX and notice that an oily product is leaking from the trunk lid. There are 3 little holes (drain holes?) on the bottom, inside the lid and I wonder if they forgot to plug them when they did the rust proofing or if they are supposed to be holes there?
Any of you guys know if you have these holes and if they are supposed to be plugged? thanks
Fred.

Hey fred,
I just did my second year of rust-proofing. And yes you do get some dripping/leaking from under the trunk lid. You get it on your hands everytime you lift the tail gate for the first little while. Where did you get yours done? Krown does mine and the do a pretty thorough job. Give it a week or two and the leaking usually stops.
