Does anyone know what type of lightbulbs our maximas use (i dont have the HID). I wanted to replace them with something a bit brighter but dont wanna spend the money for HID. Thanks!

 

the only brighter lamp will be the the HIR 1 lamp, 9011. It's the highbeam version of what is in the maxima right now. Downside is the life of the lamp. ~235hrs vs 1000 hrs (HIR 2 9012). The silverstar 9005 may be a close match to what is in the car now. It's not worth the trouble unless you go with HID. it's HID or stay stock.

 

so the stock maxima bulb is the 9005? I was lookin at piaa but don't know which ones to get.

 

No the stock bulb is a 9012. It will be brigher than almost every 9005 bulb you can find. You may switch to a 9005 bulb to get a different colour of light, but it won't technically be as bright as OEM.
