Who has painted their brake calipers?
All,
I have an Onyx SE with black leather interior and I am thinking about painting my brake calipers. I thought I had seen a pic of a Max in the forum with red ones (looked pretty sharp).
Has anyone else painted theirs? If so can you post a pic?
Thanks...

I have the same car your talking about and I painted mine black first and they didn't stand out enough for me so I painted them red and like it much better.

I went a little overboard and painted the calipers and outer edge an aluminum color. The center of the disk was painted black. I disassembled and cleaned the entire brake assembly with a spray-on brake cleaner. Let dry and then masked of the areas I did not want to get paint on with newspaper. The paint was any spray-on from the auto parts store. If your brakes are squeaking, this would be a good time to put some brake quiet goo between the brake pads and calipers.
