remote starter

Does anyone know what is a good/recommended starter for an 04 Max...and does having one installed (professionally) void any type of warranty?

thanks

It won't void your warranty unless the remote start system is the cause of the problem, which if installed correctly is unlikely.

DEI makes some good systems. I also use a lot of Crimestopper units, they are very reliable.

I have the Clifford Matrix RS 3.5 and it works great.
We've been discussing different options here:

It can still get cold in Con. so I would recommend a Canadian brand. They are made to last winters and summers - plus because of the Canadian Dollar. The brand most installed here are Autostart. Now they have a bidirectional starter. The car sends a signal back that it has started and the remote works up to one mile! When the car starts the remote, which has a LCD display will start a timer so you know how long the car has been on, plus it unlocks the doors and opens the trunk.
