Figures, another company not stepping up to the plate when the DEMAND is there. I hope you saw the pics of the AZNTUNERS guy! PEACE OUT

Asked him to post here about the info but it never happened.
Ramberg, i know you role with the NY squad, have u ever ran into the Italian kid with the spray painted sarona kit with the ecu. Cuase if what he says is true, then I know for a fact we could get a least 10 people at a price like that

That's exactly what I was talking about! That webpage is what I found a while back and it was referring to the 2004 Max in the intro before you got to that page. So JET must be recalibrating the 2004 Maxima chip. I would love to see what the gains are with all the mods, i.e. Greddy, injen, pulley and pipe and a chip recalibration. I had been thinking about it for a while, but figured that I would wait to add the pulley and pipe before I did. It is a scary thought to mess with the computer of the Max, but I'm positive that if for some reason there is a problem, then you can send it back and they can return it to the stock calibration. Anyway, Warren, let us know what happens!!! PEACE .........

About a year ago I inquired about a chip for the 6th gen. Called JWT and they said they aren't making one, called technosquare and spoke to the gentleman and he said something about your chips are different then the 5.5 gens and he told me at the time its not worth breaking into the chip cause it was to much of a hassle.
And Jet, its like one of those ebay items, sounds to good to be true. Cause apparently there chip is "universal", but never heard anything good about them

I just got an email back and this is what they wrote below. They still did not manage to directly answer my question which was: Is JWT developing any ECU for the 04 and Up Maxima 3.5 V6? If not, is it because of perceived demand or difficulties with the Maxima ECU? Do you know of any other ECU mods that I could use that are relatively plug-and-play. If you can give any advice on the ECU at all, I will pass it on to Maxima.Org. Thank you.
"Thanks for your interest in JWT products. JWT is in continued development of ECU upgrades for the 1997-99, 2000-01 and 2002+ model Maxima ECUs. The majority of our development work takes place in the winter time when the racing season slows down. We will eventually haveECU upgradesavailable for the years listed above. Sign up on our home page for our email to be able to get the latest info on products for your model Maxima.
Here is a list of what we have for the 1989+ Nissan Maxima.
Note: Go to our web site and enter the part # in our products section to get more information."
I spared you the rest of the 2 pages they sent in the email which listed all the parts available for the 89+ Max that is listed on the website.

Hi buddy, lets us know when you have it installed. Its amazing that they come up with items for the Altima and not the Maxima. I hope it works.

If that chip for the Altima would work on the Max, I would probably buy one in a heartbeat. However, I don't think that it will, but I may be wrong. After initially reading this thread, I called TechnoSquare about the possibility of giving them my ECU to help make one for the 2004. When I called, I was told to call back and ask for another person. I called back about 10 times and no one would ever answer the phone. That made me a little apprehensive and made me think how sucky it would have been if I had given them my ECU and they wouldn't answer the phone. Their chips do sound nice though....PEACE....

Somewhat interesting ...
Well if the people at TS are right with the following statement then all our mods are a waste of time ..
I wonder how I managed to pick up 30 odd KW on my motor according to my recent dyno then...
Quote TC...
Changed air intake system
One of the major problems on this car was a feedback system that compensates for modifications. The oxygen sensors detects fuel mixture and will tell the ECU to richen up or lean out the mixture. This correction factor was way too wide, so some performance components upgrades (intake, exhaust) would actually result in a loss of HP below stock!
We adjusted the correction factor to reduce that compensation reaction. Our tests showed consistent power and torque improvement following installation of an intake system.
end quote ....
and yes they are talking about the older vq35de but i can't see nissan having removed this feature..
They were right about the A/F ratio problem however ??
