'05 Max questions?

Does anyone know if the '05 NAV came with a option to store addresses? The manual says it does but i cant get to that option. Also why did they remove the compas from the rear view that was kinda cool.

There is a compass feature in the NAVI. Having it in two locations would be redundant. And by deleting the compass in the rearview mirror Nissan can reduce their cost since that mirror is much more expensive to include in the vehicle.

Nah, I was far to thrifty to blow hard earned money on that gizzmo. Hell it barely works up here in Canada (lack of maps in the software)

Just press the DEST button and options will come up on the screen. Took a couple of times to get the hang of it.

I tryed it this morning and actually you need to press on the SETTINGS button, go to NAVI and the choose Edit Address.

I tried this last night and after hitting the nav button the only options i get is "view" and "heading". I have no address option. I do see that on the NAV manual it has the address option.
Here's a little story on how i ended up with a '05. I went to the dealer in April of '04 and asked for the SE with NAV and Sunroof, since the dealer didnt have any on the lot and the closes one was 100miles away i did not want the milage put on a new car. So i decided to wait and factory order the '04. Finally i receive the call like in August that the car was ready. I get there and they did not have the right car. Now i was pretty pissed so they said they would try to order another '05 with the same options. So waited again and now i got the '05 in october. I hope that they did not put in an old NAV system since they preordered this car so far in advance...

Does the '04 nav have the address feature also?

Fellow Maxima memebers correct me if I'm wrong. But to get the Navigation screen to come up in the settings menu I beleive you cannot do this in accessory mode you have to turn the key all the way so it is running off batteries or either started. Yes, the 04 do have the address feature. Good luck!

Ok, just so that anyone else that might have this problem know what to do.
My issue was resolved, this ended up being the short menu option. i had my nav set to show short menus. After i turned off the short menus i was able to see the edit address feature and all the rest. Thx to all for your help and advice.
