Remote Starters

Any suggestions on good brands of remote starters for our 6th Gens would be greatly appreciated. It is starting to get cold in Toronto, and my wife's G35 coupe gets the garage.

Yeah, I'd have to give the nod to DEI also. They are pretty bulletproof. I've also been installing Crimestopper remote starts for a few years now and they haven't been giving me any trouble at all. Just depends on what your budget is and who is installing the remote start (which is the most important part of the whole deal).

Just make sure whoever installs your remotestart, has got plenty of experience....the last thing you want is a bunch of problems later on......

I installed the DEI 561T in my 2002, very simple install. took me maybe half hour. for newbies it will take much longer but u want to be sure your installing it right. Also this unit doesnt come with remotes which i wanted, and i use my doot-doot (stock remotes) to activate the RS.

also, if you are gonna get the RS done u need the 555U module so that it can read the chip in your key.

::Strongly Recommend:: I got a key programmed by a local locksmith and had him not cut the key, so if anyone know how to steal my max, they got another thing coming to them.
