i saw some posts about the navi into tv conversion..i was wondering if anyone done it yet??any switch to turn navi on and off..??price

I would like to know if it's at all possible, to convert my unit into a Navi or TV. My SE didn't come with one, and I heard that you can't upgrade the system to Navi or that it was real expensive.

 

It's like you said... the wiring harness for the non-navi unit is completely different, so while it's possible, it's so expensive as to make it prohibitive. You have some options though... you can get a metra dash kit and swap out the head unit for one with a screen that plays DVDs and has some sort of input for the TV. Or you could swap out/move the info screen for one that does this... Neither option is easy and they're both relatively expensive, but it's still cheaper than trying to convert a non-navi car.

 

I have the Nav-TV unit and i really like it. Check it out they do a nice job and i feel its worth the money.....
