i think everyone should donate b/c they've saved more money than the cost it requires to search.

but hey, that's just my opinion, you know we all have one......

i think it's ironic "i own a (low)luxury (high)sports sedan and want to use the poor man's search" along the same lines as "will mi high performance sedan do ok on 87 octane?"

Poor man's search? $20? Come on.. I own a MX (dirt bikes, etc., http://dirtrider.net/forums3 ) site with 45K members and trust me, it costs to maintain a site like this. If you can afford a Max you can afford $20. Sheez. Tell me this site hasn't saved you $20?

BTW: top right corner of my site, the number 92 bike is me

Hey, agree with you 100%, having donated myself a while back (after one of the big outages that left me twitching )... I was just too lazy to hit the back button and see if you had the "I support" image...

BTW: Change the name from "Poor Man's Search" to "Let someone else pay for it search".

Go to McDonald's one time less per month. Someone is footing the bill, help 'em out a little. Contrary to popular belief, the internet is NOT free.

Dude, why are you getting bent out of shape over this? I didn't make it up...

http://forums.maxima.org/showthread.php?t=378748

You could call it whatever you want, I'll stick with "poor man's search", thank you very much.

Read the edited version of my post "dude"... sorry a little quick on the submit button.

Did I say you made it up? I did say that you spent 30K on a car and are now free-loading on someone else's dime.. if you are good with that.. "rock on".. "bro".

Point? People seem to think this is all free and have no idea that it does in fact cost someone money. A little help from those that benefit from this resource goes a long way in making sure it stays here.

Oh.. and you're welcome.

Nice try for the save with the edit, but I'm too old to argue over the internet over misunderstandings like this. You obviously thought I was free-loading or something, or you seriously think I was against donating, or you were in the wrong thread, or whatever.

Regardless, I'm not sure which pill I should take to get out of this convoluted conversation, so I'll just step aside now.

Rock on, bro.

I was referring to those that DON'T support a resource they use day in and day out to save dollars.

Now I know you're in the wrong thread and bugging out over nothing, so I'm just gonna let it go.

I already agreed with you with just about any of your points (the ones you've made anyway ) plus this one about people not supporting a site like this. Other than send you a signed affidavit, I'm not sure what else to say...

Regardless, I'm bored and the original question in the thread (along with others about line-in) have already been covered. If you wanna continue to spaz out at me over nothing, I have a few minutes...

Okay! I'm always willing to spaz over this subject (sorry for hijacking this thread however).
Where ya wanna meet? I've got the web-dudes side and you've got the free-loaders side?

so why don't you 2 use AIM, PM, take this to OT (since you're both kind donators) or just get a room?

btw, why sticky this? we'll still get threads: How do I find how to do Poorman's Search? Besides I'm not inclined to go out of my way to help those too cheap to mooch off this site.
