Hi All,

On my 2004 Max with about 10,250 miles for the past few days I been hearing a squeaky noise while driving.

And when giving my car a visual inspection looking around at my tires. (Checking for cracks on tires) I noticed when I apply pressure or push the top of the hood on the drivers left front side it makes the squeaky noise.

I called the dealer made a appt.

What do you all think it can possibly be. Strut? or Shocks?

Your input and experiences is greatly appreciated.

Frank - I was hoping a knowledgeable poster would respond, but it didn't happen. This is an area where I am not much help.

I am assuming you also get the squeak when pushing down on the fender on the driver's side, which means it is not coming from where the front left corner of the hood rests on an adjustable hard rubber bumper.

It might be something as simple as a bushing. Or it could possibly be a strut problem.
