54 in a 35 today, aaaarrrrgggghhhh!!!!

Yup you guessed it, I got a speeding ticket on my way to work this morning. This morning felt a bit coppish so I took it easy all the way to work on the freeway. The second to last turn before I arrived at work, I sped up to catch a green turn arrow and the next thing I knew...
Radar at 54 mph in a 35....

I know, I know...

Just wanted to vent...traffic school here I come!!!

Did Johnny Law at least tell you "nice Maxima?"

Seems it would almost ease the pain..

Or slow down...

I got 2 tickets in 2 days in Jersey a couple of months ago... I've slowed down significantly ever since. First off I HAD to go to court but I talked it down to $89 total (no surcharge). The second one was like 84 in a 65, so I figure I'll bite the bullet and pay the $190 fine... it's not like I didn't deserve it (I was actually going MUCH faster when the laser caught up to me ).

Ever since then I've rarely gone about 80-85... but going 55-60 is just ridiculous around here (and dangerous) on the highways.

I've gotten 4 speeding tickets within the last year which equals license suspension in the good ol' state of Illinois. I had to go to an 8 hour traffic class a couple of weeks ago to get a probationary license. I've slowed down significantly since then. Pisses me off to watch other people fly by me and not get pulled over

Yes, I got a ticket last summer, 107 on the open highway in the middle of the desert, 2 points on my record and no traffic school allowed...
At least I can make this one disappear with traffic school. But now I have to be very careful and like Viguera said driving like 55-60 is ridiculous around here as well...oh well!!

Speeding tickets bit! You must have a really important job though, b/c the last thing I’m doing is speeding going to work!

Hey Jsmith, I hope you are going to do the online traffic school... I tried it last year, and it was great~~ Costs less, easier, faster, extremely hassle free~~ Just my 2 cents..

Yes, I've done it before but I don't think I can do it for tickets recieved in Orange County, at least thats's how it was before I will look into it for sure, it took me like 4-5 lunch breaks and I was done, but it took me a long time to get the on-line school to submit my certificate. I had to call them like 5 times and ended up yelling at them and sending it in myself...
