I've not purchased the front strut brace, but would probably go with the Stillen, even though it is more $.

I bought the rear sway bar from Cattman. Send Brian an e-mail at this address: Brian C Catts <bcatts@earthlink.net>

I paid $148.50 including shipping, but it was on sale. Price may be somewhat higher now. This is the best rear sway bar because it is solid, the others are all hollow.

On the question about the front strut brace, I started a new thread on this 6th gen site that asks those owners out there with the front strut brace to answer a series of questions. None of them are stepping up to these questions. Beginning to believe this step may not be worth the money, particularly the $150 for the Stillen brace.
Just because someone does not answer your questions doesn't mean they don't have an opinion or insight, I for one have never seen a thread that I can remember asking for feedback. Then again, I've been busy....

www.stillen.com

It's the brand I prefer...

Others may chime in with different makers, however I am just presenting one option that I personally use...

Nismo said: "installed it today, very easy." If you can put your Max on a lift, it would be easy. But crawling around on you back under the jack stands, while not real hard, I would not describe as "easy."
Correct, fat a$$e$ like myself, need not apply, lift is earier and took less than 20 minutes...

Sorry, one last comment, with today’s technology, solid verse hollow no longer guarantees which has a greater strength. Show me any technical data that indicates a solid Cattman is stronger than a hollow Stillen? Stillen design is based on aircraft technology and my ride with their products has been rock solid…

Stillen only fits '04. Either Cattman or Stillen will a be big improvement over stock. Don't know ride diff. between the two brands, but would be interesting to see though!

I don't have the part number. When you order just mention the year of your car. I have an 06 and it fits fine so it should also fit 05. And get the endlinks upgrade too. It will supplement the RSB.

I agree with Chernmax about the hollow design. Bicycles are designed with super light hollow tubes yet are stronger than most thick walled steel tubel of old times. Its not because one thing is hollow or solid..ITS THAT IT IS STRONGER/STIFFER

We have Catmann RSBs on our 2004 and 2005 MAXes. Fits perfectly. Endlinks are a plus and do not add much time to the install process. I think I read somewhere they TAZ is outta stock on those but you may have to verify with him directly.

Thanks for the info albert, now i can get my hands on the part. Hopefully it is as good as everyone is talking about. How much improvement is there in the lowering springs? I've got the ftsb and will add the rear, is lowering it inevitable to achieve top-notch handling? Also if you go with springs do you need to get better struts at the same time or are oem suffecient?
