My 04SE is almost a year old. Driving in the city, I got flashed a couple of times from cars in the opposite direction. I just flashed back to let them know it's low-beam. I guess the lighted city streets help.
BUT, going on long trips on the interstates is a very different situation. The opposite traffic do flash me occationally, but they're on the other side and won't be long before we pass. The other drivers I'm coming from behind must be very irrated with my HID. I got into quite a few incidents every time.
* One time, I passed a guy driving 20MPH slower in a mini van. I didn't realize he sped up to my tail later on, until he turned on the high beam and lighted up my whole car (and my wife was napping comfortably) in retaliation. I just changed to the slow lane to find out what#@$@^%. The guy just floored his van (thinking I might be road-raged) and ran like hell.
* One time, an 18-wheeler just blew his horns just when I flew by (and my wife was napping comfortably). And turned on all the lights he got at my tail (must be a christmas tree on wheel).
* Most of the times, people just shone their high-beam at my tail for a few miles (until my tail disappeared)
I don't want to get pulled over by a highway patrolman thinking my highbeam is on. Or some road warriors got real upset and pick a fight. Or worse, this is LA, people got shot just minding their own business and driving home.

welcome to the club... i purposefully drive got my foglights HID too.. both head and fogs are 14000k...and when i get flashed.. i flash them right back...too bad they just stop flashin me and dont pick road rage...
