Service Engine soon Light goes on at 15k miles
My "Service Enginer Soon" light went on a couple of days ago. I have no clue why that happened while I have been doing the oil changes on time and the car is only 8 months old and has only 15K Miles on it. Any ideas?

You also might want to take your car to an Autozone (or somewhere else that will do it for you) and have them pull the error code to see what is going on.
Please report back here when you find out what it is.

Is your gas cap on securely? Do any Mods? Check the owners manual, they have a troubleshooting section which states why this light may come on... Good luck and let us know what you find...

Hi Guys,
Found out it was the EGR Valve and the Cat that need to be changed. There is a technical bulletin about this too.

By the way Chermax, that's a smokin' ride you got there! Woah! Ouch very hot!

Where in the world was the quality control on that? How could you have something with metal debris in it like that get through?

Hi Maxmale ...love your ride....I have a few questions: regarding the seats...did you put those in yourself or did you have that done and looks real cool. How did you do that paint job in the engine bay? Whose Intake is that? Is that the full Cat back from Greddy? DId you have that done at the dealer?
Regarding my Max, the CAT was OK and did not need changing. The dealer did change the EGR valve though because the Nissan Tech Center recommended it. I have the car back and she's doing great. A bit of vibration around 70 mPH ...maybe time for a wheel balancing again....next oil change.
The dealer said that they were not equipped to advance the timing....Strange. Oh well at least I tried.

I had a tough time locking the air box the first time w/ K&N. Since then, I removed the air box several times for different mods, and still no light. Do you still have it? Do you want to try it again?
