I like the fact the the air sensor gets mounted too the pipe and you loose the plastic piece, looks clean. I just hope they make the mounting bracket better than the piece of $hit job Injen did.

A gain of about 10 horses and 14 foot pounds of torque isn't bad at all. Now I just wonder what the price will be.

Wtha!!

10HP is that even possible from an intake, I thought our stock intakes were pretty efficient as it was. Not much restictive air flow and all.

Wow if thats tru.!!

The fact that it is a cold air intake makes a difference. I'm sure it was dynoed under optimal conditions in order to get the biggest gains. None the less, it appears to be a good mod. A CAI has been on my list of mods to make for a while now. Maybe I'll just have to be the ORG guinea pig on this one. Once I can get my hands on one that is.

I just got off the phone with Joji (ext. 204) at AEM, and he said the Intake, part number 21-549, was released today MSRP $372.50. They are produced in Blue, Silver, Red, and Polished. He stated the polished are not available at this time. He recommended me to TOYSPORT (323) 755-1177 and I just bought a red one for $280 with USPS express shipping to west Texas.

They only have a few left, so if you want one, you should act soon. Normal price with priority shipping was $260 total, but I wanted to get it before the weekend to install it. I will post pictures of the install when available.

By the way, I have been viewing posts for about a month, but this is my first post. So, hello to everyone and thanks for the good information (and laughs) so far.

You have a picture of the whole thing not installed? Just looks like one long tube bent in the middle. Some hose couplers and a provision for the iat sensor.

I also have the install instructions that were emailed to me from AEM if anyone wants them to see how it's designed.

Wow, I want one! I first had an Injen CAI, now have a Weapon R SRI which is pretty good, but really miss my CAI. I'm considering getting an AEM CAI with a bypass valve and selling my Weapon R. Anyone wants it, let me know.

I just installed the intake. I can't post the pictures though. Do I have to be a donating member to do so?

To answer a question that was posted earlier, it's a one piece intake and the MAF sensor actually fits into a specifically designed bung welded location closer to the Throttle Body.

The intake is definitely the sort of quality intake that I remember 6 years ago when I bought one for me 99 Civic Si. The plumming was well thought out and is understandable why it took AEM this long to release it.

"Seat-of-pants" dyno doesn't show much HP increase, but it was 87 degrees at 11 am in West Texas when I test drove it. It's definitely louder.

Maybe I can email the pictures to someone who has privileges to post them.
