yeah, but you're asking about a car that doesn't exist yet:
are there 7th gen maximas with 6 speeds and leather?
now if you meant 6th gens: 04-06, why of course there are. dealers don't order many manuals.

Picked up a '06 SE last week and I've got a question. When attempting to go into the Personalized Menu Settings in the Display Screen Settings, the display prompts me to push the Joystick down, however, no matter how many times I push the Joystick down, the display never changes, it stays at the same menu option and does not go into the submenus for Remote Unlock, Horn Chirp, etc. Any ideas?

No, I haven't tried that; I've been following Nissan's instructions that state "When you use this system, make sure the engine is running." Will try your suggestion this evening. Thanks.

odinala, engine can be on or off, but car must be in park. (since you shouldn't be playing with controls while moving)

Not being silly, but the joystick goes up, down, left and right, but to enter, it must be centered and depressed like a button. If that doesn't help, DEALER...

Worked like a champ, had been attempting while driving. By the way, mine works with engine on or off while either in Park or Neutral.

setting settings

I remember from the manual that the car must be going less than 5 mph to be able to change the settings on the display. Until I found this in the manual I was tearing my hair out with the display. I was trying to set it while my wife drove the car and nothing would happen, then she would stop at a stoplite or stopsign and all of a sudden the display controls would work. Too bad the display won't display a warning when this happens, such as "car must be stopped to change" or something like this.

Why didn't you just sell it in the classified forums, right here on maxima.org?

I wish all you new owners the best of luck with your rides. I don't use the power from the arm rest console. Thanks to chernmax I have a custom made cigar humidor in there.

5AT. New priorities now. Married, Kid. Resale value.
Its very quick out of the box, even in 5AT. The 0-60 difference in 0.2 seconds (edmunds.com, motortrend.com)

Cheers!

New options for 06'

Dual tilt-down in reverse outside mirrors
Bluetooth Hands-Free Phone System
Remote Keyless front window up/down and trunk release (04 & 05 down only)

Man, why do they have to wait so long to add all these cool features? Most other car makers had them already!

This really sucks!

well i know the up feature on the windows was a safety issue. would hate to accidently decapitate some one looking in your car. Well actually that would be cool. as long as i don't like the person, just be sure to scotchguard your int.

I've always wondered why they didn't put the tilt-down reverse mirrors in Max's. The technology has been around for many years!

Bluetooth is great too!

What the 6th gen really needs is a new interior dash design which is coming next year as a mid cycle refresher if I remember correctly.

Page 3-7 of my 2006 Maxima owners manual states "The door windows cannot be closed by using the keyfob." If there's a method to do it with the remote, how about letting us '06 owners in on the procedures.

For 2006 Maxima, You can do DOWN with the remote by holding down the unlock button. To close (UP), you insert the key into the driver's door, turn to lock and HOLD. The front windows will close. Unless there is something special to "setup", this is default factory setup.

Cheers!

That I knew, however, according to MaximaSE2005 "Remote Keyless front window up/down and trunk release (04 & 05 down only)" and if that procedure exists, I would like someone to post it (I maintain it doesn't exist).
TIA
