Aren't there OEM GPS systems for this Maxima? Why wouldn't you guys just consider replacing that? Mewbie...so forgive my ignorance.

it's ok "Mewbie" we totally forgive you..... yes nissan makes an oem navigation setup but it's outragiously expensive if bought after you allready own the car and has very limited flexibility as far as adding other equipment to it..... I myself have 3000 invested in just my sounds alone.... but my sounds will blow any factory system away and some...... not to mention has more possibilities for future additions..... the oem system is about 3000 itself that's just for a screen, brain, and dvd rom drive..... you could buy a computer and take it apart and install it in your car for cheaper than that with unlimited possibilities..... sorry rambling.....

I wish there was a double din kit that matched the 05+ aluminum dash piece. That's the only thing stopping me from upgrading right now.

I'd be interested if someone actually produces these...

buy it and have it painted..... cost is what 30 for the kit free for the labor if you know what you are doing...... and to paint it just go to a shop and have a color match done..... if it's brushed aluminum have a body shop do it.... make sure it isn't installed when you have it done otherwise you will be paying alot to have them uninstall and reinstall the piece..... take pics before and after for claim purposes Just in Case..... any good bodyshop could paint that up for ya for under 50 bucks.... thats less than 100 dollars total with a little research and effort.... deffinitly worth it....

My Pioneer AVIC Z1 has been installed in my Max, and it looks amazing....I did the customizing myself, and it is perfect....only took me a few minutes to do....if any one wants their deck cut I would be willing to do it for cheap....PM for more info....
