Thanks Glude!!

By the way, YOU DONT HAVE TO REPLACE THE WHOLE ACCELERATOR ASSEMBLY!!!! I just removed the aluminum pad from the new one and it SLIDES RIGHT ON TO THE OLD ONE!!!! I helped it along with some soapy water. Took about 30 seconds!! yee haa!!!!

Are the 350Z pedals and the Alt SE-R pedals the same thing? I found the Z pedals to be cheaper and hope they are just as easy to install. I don't see why they'd be any different. Thanks for the how-to pics. It looks good.

The Z/G pedals are cheaper but I didnt want to take a chance that they wouldnt bolt right on. I really liked how easy it was to get these on except for the minor work needed on the foot rest.

Hey Kam...I'm in Whitby too...which dealership? If you don't want to spell it out just say the first letter..lol. Anyway, what a coincidence that you have the same colour of '04 as the one I'm looking at including 6-spd! Hope the dealer does a good job the second time around

Will these work on our cars as well?

Hey guys,

I was browsing through some of the nismo mods for sale for the 350z, and came across these.

I was wondering if these would fit our cars as well, or if I would have to do some modifying to the pedal. I dont really feel comfortable doing that, I dont want to mess up the whole drive-by-wire thing.

Thanks in advance,

Brian

Check out my post on the Aluminum Altima SE-R pedal thread. U dont have to install the drive by wire thing. U do have to buy the whole unit but i paid 114 for all 4 pedals. The dead pedal is different on our car too. Take the aluminum pedal off the accelerator unit and slip in on to ur unit. U will have an extra drive by wire unit that u may be able to sell on ebay or whatever. Love the look!!! Great mod.

The rear bumper was mangled by the Whitby Dealership Mid... Motors, the front Bumper was mangled by the Ajax Nissan Dealership.

I found one good tech at Ajax, his name is Parry. He knows his stuff inside out and pays good attention to detail. Only he is allowed to touch my car. PS- My ride is an 05.

Take Care,

Kam

Heh..both did you in eh? Sucks when that happens...I bought my '95 used from whitby...don't really care to go back there. The used car guy is typical-glad-to-take-your-money c'ya later type. I heard better things about Ajax as my sis used to take her Max there. Right now I'm still flip-flopping around Max (wife likes it) or G35 (used), will be after the winter anyway.

Take care

Dont get me wrong I love my Max and how it is now, its just that I wish they didnt let 19 years olds work on Hi-end vehicles.

I will keep going back to Ajax for major work and Whitby for OIL.

Peace,

Just figured I'd revive this thread instead of starting a new one. Installed my pedals today, still waiting for the dead pedal, they ordered the wrong color. Not worries though I got them for freeeeeeee....

Okay so I am in the same process right now. But I figured I would just order the Z pedals vice the SE-R pedals. The only difference to me it seems is the dead pedal on the Z kit is larger.

Does anyone know if the Z/G pedal will fit in the Max?

The Z pedals are cheaper, too. I know there was an issue before that with the SE-R pedals you had to replace the entire assembly, but my understanding is that this has since been resolved and you can replace the pedal part only, yes?

Also, where's a good place to get the pedals from? I was going to hit up Performance Nissan Parts, but their site is down right now.

Not the G35 dead pedal, it would be the SE-R one. He said it came in all black the first time around or something...

Yes but its not made by nissan so it must be of high quality. I couldnt install those in my max cause that would be an upgrade. LOL.

Jokes, I just wanted to stick to OEM nissan gear, thats why i also ordered NISMO rims.

Are they the SE-R pedals or the Z/G pedals?

I need someone to lay down the final verdict on this. Will the Z accelorator pedal work on the Max?

I may buy mine today if I can figure out which ones to go with.

It will, all it is, is just a cover. Nothing more then that. The SE-R pedal is a full featured flybywire throttle control pedal. Its a whole assembly. Yes you can buy the Z and it will fit, you will have to slip on the aluminium cover over the old plastic, i suggest soapy water for an easy isntall.

Thanks,

Kam

In addition to painting my calipers (see this thread for pics http://forums.maxima.org/showthread....446011&page=2), I also installed my new Alti SE-R aluminum pedals this weekend.

I bought these the day before I wrecked my '05. So they were ready to go when I bought the new '06 this week.

If you are looking for a set, I recommend going using 'andersonperformance0' on Ebay. Here's the listing: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/NEW-N...QQcmdZViewItem

They sell just the pedals, so you don't have to buy the whole TBW assembly which jacks up the price on these.

Here's a pic:

It took me less than 30minutes to fully install these. A simple mod!

I agree, this one deserves to be stickied. I think we should use Deus' post -- by far the most descriptive. He has good progressive install photos and I just followed what he said anyway.
