What do the dealerships say?

I enviously look at all the pics of the mods you guys have done to your cars. They are amazing. I have no skills to do anything myself and I just haven't trusted anyone else to do anything serious to my car. So, it's still pretty standard.

When you guys go to the dealership with your laid out cars, what do they say? Are they blown away? I haven't seen too many mods here in NE Ohio where I live, with the exception of some grills swapped out.

My service manager was very impressed with my info screen move. She called a few of the mechanics and had to show everybody... They thought it was great. I did too, until my CD changer started skipping again from the cold. Im not sure they'll warranty it now...?

my dealer just wanted to pwn me on install quotes and say warranty bs. they asked if I swapped my calipers already the first week I had the car told em no, I just painted them

but yeah, they wanted $30 for each fog swap and fricken $200 for RSB install WTF????

not many mods, but they compliment on how clean I keep it

to repeat info: warranty CANNOT be denied, unless a mod is PROVEN to cause damage to a certain part.

Buying an 06 Elite special order with every option the max has ---- when setting the deal up we discussed trading in my 04, which I wasn't planning on doing because the T-I value was between 17-18...however when they handed the keys off to the guy that goes over the T-I cars he came back in real impressed...then the Internet Manager I was dealing with had to go see it...then the dealer manager...then 2 other salesman came over..finally the dealer owner got wind of it and came out before I know my car buying turned into a Q&A session...... so when we settled on a T_I at 21,500 I was more than satisfied...

WOW gec!!! That's pretty amazing considering all the blue led's. Considering it's a change to sensitive electronic components...I would expect them to say you cracked the dash and devalued the car.

I installed the grounding kit today and am planning to visit the dealer this week for the speaker amps that fix the cell phone static (I forgot the tsb #). I'm expecting them to say my warranty is void because of the grounding kit. It seams people around here are always trying to get out of having to work...

I had the service manager ask where I got my S4 grill. He said he thought it really improved the look. Obviously I agreed. I also had the CD player replaced after it started clicking...I figured they would give me some static about the PAC-AAI that I put in there, but they didn't.

I didnt have any problems at my dealer before my warranty expired. They even changed a blown front strut when I was on Eibachs.

Hey missjane,
When I go to the dealership the manager knows me by name and always talks about my Max. He always says, "Man, you probably have the baddest ride around here and I've never seen one like that!" Then usually one of the mechanics takes it into the service department and I hear him fire it up. I, of course, go to check on the Dizzle and every time, there is a circle of mechanics and employees standing around my ride wondering WTF is under the hood of the max. I can see giggles and grins on their faces and the feeling from that is pretty nice. Luckily, no problems with servicing or anything so far. By the way, since I'm pretty good friends with the manager and since he knows how obsessed I am with my ride, he told me that if I have a significant problem with something on the Max, I can put back on the part that I took off that caused it, i.e. cold air intake, exhaust, y-pipe, wheels, whatever, and he'll act like I never put it on there and fix it under warranty. Now that's SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEET!!!! PEACE OUT

With all the work you done on the '04 you are getting rid of it.

Did you try to sell it before the TI?

When I am in Florida and get my oiled changed they all come out. The service adviser has a picture of my car on the wall.

I'm not aggressively trying to sell it...I'm getting 21,500 on the trade...so anyone who wants it prior to it going in can take it
