Exhuast question

We will have to have a get together. It really sounds good. My kids LOOOOVE the sound as does most others. Actually, Im not sure where this comes from, but it sounds like I have a turbo when it hits about 4,000 rpm. It has like a whistling sound. Its quite a rush!!

I love my Greddy - not ricey at all, sounds tough. I also like the Cattman's, can't go wrong with either choice IMO.

I have the Cattman without the resonator and absolutely love it. With the twin magnaflows it has a nice deep growl, nothing rice about it. Plus the twin tips looks closer to the stock exhaust. I guess it is a matter of preference, personally I don't like the look of the big cans on the back.

Im sure both have good sound, but I too prefer the more stock look of the twin pipes on the Cattman and get compliments alllll the time on it. I think the Greddy "sewer pipe" system is an invite to the law enforcment to get pulled over, I have enough violations as it is, lol

I have NO sound issues with the Greddy's .They have an aggressive look but really just purr - that is until you hit over 4K - then they get nasty.
Coupled with an intake, the VQ roars - it's a GREAT feeling AWESOME engine we have...

HEY!!! I was just asking about this..thanks for posting
with or without resonator...which one has a deeper growl?
I used to have an 84 T/A with 3" exhaust and hollow cats. The rumble was sooo deep I used to set off alarms in parking garages. I'd like my max to do that

OK Guyz (and girlz)..I need your advice
So I'm checking on an exhaust upgrade and really like the cattman kit for $800, although I still haven't decided if I want the reasonator. Today I went to a shop that will create and install custom pipes for $500. The differences are:
- they use aluminized pipes ( says it won't corode )
- the muffler would be cherry bomb, not master flow
- the entire setup would not be polished except for the steel tips for the cherry bomb
- he would have to cut the stock pipe between the reasonator and the flange after the y-pipe and use clamps so I will be able to install a custom y-pipe later.
Do you think this setup will be good and durable? Is it worth saving about $300.00? His quote was an estimate so I'm guessing it may be alittle more.
Thanks for any help you can give

Do what you think is best for your circumstance, but my advice is to never shortchange yourself. I would rather spend $300 more and be confident that I am getting exactly what I want and the exact quality I would expect for my dollar. And to me, master flow is better.

I have a custom exhaust system withstanless steel mandrel bend exhaust ,borla muffles and chrome tips. I safed a good dollar and it sounds rwal good..ask Tek he heard it at our last meet..as for the rust no pick deal if you get some rust with the stanless steel it is easy removed a plain brillo pad..but who the hell is gonna look under your car..thats why I went with Borla they tug under your car nice and neat..
