steps to take...
1. tell gf to get insurance or she's not driving your car again
2. set up a plan so she can pay for the damage, or put it on her credit card. no reason YOU should be paying for her lack of driving skills and/or lack of responsibility by not having insurance. Plus, since she's only a gf, there's no guarantee she'll be around in a year, and if she gets pissed when you ask her how she's going to pay for it, you dont want to marry her anyway.
