Trunk Lid ?
Can I see a pic of the inside of the trunk lid? I think I'm missing something. Is the suppse to be like a emergency release pull thingy on the lid cause if so I think the guy that did my Amp install broke it. Then again I never noticed it before.

By law, there is supposed to be one there. It is a glow in the dark one. (meant to prevent kids from getting trapped in there). I am not familiar with posting pictures, but it is there on the inside of your decklid. (or should be there)....

No there's another one on the trunk lid itself, if you don't have one then yes your guy probably broke it or it fell behind the cover (not sure if this is possible?) No pic sorry...

Ok so i think I'm missin mine, I took the cover off the trunk lid cause I heard something shakin in there and I found this white loop that had looked like it was broken off. I see a black plastic thing that looks like something was there but I don't rememeber. I think they messed my saftey release up. I'll take pics in the morning to better explain. Only thing is I don't ever remember seein one there.

Also, worst case scenario:
Dealerships HAVE to replace or repair any 'safety' equipment not working properly....for example seat belts. They are always replaced/repaired for free, regardless of vehicle age. My sister has a prelude that has issues with it's seatbelt pretensioners, and we called honda to set up an appointment to fix it and they told us it is free and always will be. It might be worth looking into, in the event you don't want to fiddle with the yahoo that broke/reinstalled it incorrectly in the first place. Not even like it is 'normal wear and tear'.

Here's what I got
This is whats on my trunk lid: I don't ever recall seeing a glow in the dark pull thing there.

This is under the rear deck and it opens the trunk when I pull it: Sorry the pic is upside down. This one is actually attached by a metal cable.

When I remove the carpet off the lid i found that short black plastic cord but it doesn't appear to be broken or missing anything. when i first move the carpet it was just there I put it through the loop like that assuming thats where it was suppose to go. Its still short and just kinda there.

Does anyone else have two seperate pull cord truck release things in the trunk?
