New Nismo CAI

Claims 14.9hp gain. has anyone got one? It differs from the old intake, 3.25" tubing.

the question is where are they getting the 14hp from? from a 04 maxima or another type of car?

I wouldn't risk it without a dyno sheet, thats why i went to one, there's nothing better than to have hard evidence. I'm not saying is not true, cause if I don't smooth out my dyno graph all the way i can show a 13hp gain from the fujita, these are tricks you can do on the dyno program to show more gains.

I showed the completly smoothed out dyno graph to you guys and it went down to 12hp gain.

don't fool yourself, get it on paper cause thats alot of money to be risking it..

LET ME ASK SOMETHING...dont they all claim just about the same HP gains.
Being Injen
Being AEM
Being Fujita
Being Nismo

Which is the best for us. I have the Injen... I feel a little less Low end than before. So if the NISMO is better I will buy it.
Thanks

I guess they do, I hate dyno's sometimes also cause of the different numbers people get from them..

one example is CE's dyno on the y pipe. they have a stock max at 221hp 193tq.

I got 200hp 222tq on a dyno jet... so, I guess everyone has to dyno their own to really know if you have gains or not..

i have the Nismo intaake on my "I" and the horsepower increase is in the low end for my car. haven't dynoed it, but when you take off you can feel a definite difference over the former intake(cosmo).

Tek where did you get your intake from? And how much did it cost, I saw on one site for $999.00. http://store.racinglab.com/fujita-cai-ma-2811-1.html

I spoke to the dealer today and they told me that installing a nismo intake still techniclly voids the warranty. Now I know that dealers say that mods will only void warranty on parts that where damage was done to them BECAUSE of the mods, but I also heard somewhere that someone got a nismo intake installed at the dealer and they warrantied it all? What are your thoughts

Im going to Buy and let the dealer install my NISMO CAI, The stealership said nothing will void as long as they install the intake. They said $300 with install, and even if it technically does void out the warranty, this stealership said they would cover it. But im deff getting this in writing.

So if your in Northern VA, get it done at Tyson Corners Nissan.

Thats good to hear. The dealership I went to today didnt even know that a Nismo CAI even existed for our maximas. What an idiot. I will have to check with another dealership

For $300, you are buying it from the dealer directly and having them install it? Thats not a bad price. I can find the intake for about $232 and then the rest is labor of course, not too bad.
