The memory seats lost their previous settings or they just don't work at all?

the sunroof didnt work either, only to raise it a bit, then if he held it it would open one segment at a time, he didnt it like 5 times and then it worked, he told me its the same thing for the memory seat buttons but he didnt have the reset pattern with him. the power seat works just not the memory buttons

Hmmm, sounds like you need to take it back, and have them fix it.

I found it, i recently installed my CAI, and had to disconnect the battery for the ECU to reset. When i reconnected the battery i had the same problem on the sun roof (my memory seats were easily reset) In the manual pg. 2-38 it tells how to restart the sliding sun roof.
"Use the following reset procedure to return sunroof operation to normal.
1) if sunroof lid is open, push the tilting switch repeatedly toward the DOWN position to fully close the lid.
2) Finally, push and hold the tilting switch for more than 2 sec. toward the DOWN position to reestablis the lid's home position.
The sunroof should now operate normally"

hope that clears up the trouble.

For the Memory seats... hmmm.... just wanna make sure ... holding down the set button for like 5 sec while the car is in the on position?
The owners manual doesn't really say anything bout having to reset/ sets there of to reset...

Did you check the fuse?

As per the manual Section 3-20

If the battery cable is disconnected, or if the fuse opens, the memory will be canceled. In such a case, reset the desired positions using the following procedures.
1. Open and close the driver’s door more than two times with the ignition key in the LOCK position.
2. Reset the desired position using the previous procedure. (see section 3-19)

Holler back if this works, I’ve never had to do it!

Car has to be in park to set memory seats. You prob will have to "cycle" the seat fwd/back and up/down first then find your desired position hold set button for 5+ seconds then you should be able to save. I know thats what happened to me when i changed battery's same thing with sunroof.
