Lemme See Ya Grill!

Hey Org, I'm a 4th gen owner considering upgrading to a 6th gen now that there's insane deals on maxima's. So I'm seriously considering a 6th Gen but can't get over the GRILL! If you could post pics with some of the options, or even links to where I can see what's available to get rid of that god-awful thing that would be great!!!

anyone got any tips on how to get the film off the factory grille once it starts peeling? paint thinner doesnt work obviously. Took about 60 seconds with the rAzor blade and no scratches...thats what I was afraid of, but none at all!!!!

Use a razor blade to peel it off....it comes off real nice and the chrome grill looks 10x's better without the clear coat film. I know - I did mine this spring and for stock it looks good.

Wow thanks for all the help - I'm split between a 2k3-4 G35 coupe, OR a 06,07 Maxima....and I need some maxima guys to weigh in on why the max is a clear choice?

ALSO - do you need the redline body kit to use that grill - it seems every pic I've seen has a different front end on it. I loveee that grill - I think its what they should have done with the 06 though those pics of the 07 grill are hot as hell too!

is it just the lighting in the picture or there is a big difference in paint tones between your cars paint and the bumper ??

ride still looks the hotest

Red is the hardest paint color to match. Still looks very good.

That's the dip from the stock grills "tooth". With the Redlinemax bumper this has been removed, yet the stock grill still fits? Just a bit overdesigned by Nissan I think...to our disadvantage!

So you're saying it will only look good with RedLine bumper and you get a hole when installed with OEM one??? THAT SUCKS

I almost bought one, but now hmmm!!!

BTW there is another thread going about the redline grill and people haven't received it in three months...Are they serious???

boone,

I love your set up. I plan on getting a 6th generation in the next month and would love that grill combination you have. Super nice. How much did it run you and where can I find them?

I can't say that as I have only seen mine in person and I have the RL bumper as well. Maybe ask Ramberg for better confirmation. Id they would have designed the grill with a "bump" in the bottom then it would have looked worse if you ask me.
Yeah the backorder was due to them having trouble getting more mesh. It's really high end mesh the same as used in the Cadillac. I believe this has been solved and things should be getting back on track. I'm still running the first prototype and need to get a final version myself! I've just been waiting for the b/o's to ship out first...

It's all about eBay. The upper is the E&G Classics grille and the lower is a nameless bumper billet grille.
