More on iPod interface

The previous thread on this topic has been closed. However, since then I found something different relating to previous news that the Nissan iPod interface would not work with the 6th generation Maxima.

Performance Nissan Parts indicates that the iPod interface is available for select 05-06 Maximas. See here: http://www.mynismo.com/products/?id=2593

The general compatability requirement is that you have to have the Bose CD6 and no Satellite radio. Allegedly Nissan is working on expanding their availability to past models.

Anyway, it was worth mentioning.

I would also like a good solution for hooking up an iPOD when you also have factory SAT...

I think this is the reason why most 6 gen owners are interested in the OEM interface. It is most compatible with the car's stock controls.

I would think that Nissan is still developing this, so those of you who can't use this option yet, don't lose hope, I bet Nissan will release more options for this in the near future.
