07 Remote Compatible with 04?

Anyone think this great-looking remote is compatible with 04-06 Max?

It might be. It's got the same buttons and functions as the older models, but it's also probably a great deal more expensive, being that it's also an "Intelligent Key", housing the actual physical key inside it.

When I showed this new remote to a co-worker, he replied that this remote looked better than his CAR.

i highly doubt those would work....they're intelligent keys that send out a signal to the car...if the key is in range, you can unlock the car by touching a button on the outside, or start the car without using the key. It can be used as a regular keyfob, but I doubt you can program it to the correct frequency for cars without the intelligent key...

With the right amount of money anything is possible.

You "may" be able to take the guys out of the 04 style remote and put it into that case, if the buttons line up similarly

haha, yeah that thing is slick..

I'm sure you could retrofit any Max to be able to use it.. probably not worth the hassle though. I like having the key built into the fob though. VW's been doing that for years, its a good idea.

Its different than the VW remote. The VW key folds out and is meant to be used on a regular basis. The new Nissan remote has sort of an emergency key hidden inside of it. Its not meant to be used on a regular basis. For valet use, Nissan intends you to keep the key (it has the keyring hole) and detach the remote and give it (the remote) to the valet. No valet key in the traditional sense is supplied.

but for the skilled you can solder the wires on a blank board chip and just use it as housing and sharpen the key as a security knife when someone tries to steal your max! =}
and as for the 03 you can get the benz pop out key that swivels out like a knife. its on ebay somewhere.
