Probably another mod that had potential but went the wayside when people realized it was actually going to cost them some money for a custom mod.

for what needed to be done the cost was too high. At least too much for door sills. The flat lights are about 150-200 bucks the custom aluminum insert was going to be about 200 for all four and more if you wanted something custom put on them.

That's really not that high a cost when you consider all of the work being put into them.

This looks to me like a very difficult task to make. I took one of my door sills off and took off the actual aluminum piece that says "Maxima" and I have no idea how anyone would manage to keep the same dimensions/shape of the door-sill and still illuminate it. my 2 cents

It looks completely OEM...just the price is holding back production right now.

And its big bucks for a mod that will only see the light of day for approximately 2 minutes per day as you open the door to get in or out. Its a cool mod but I would say its for the show cars only. Looks great on Gec's Max.

This is true but I do all my mods for ME, and if I got to see them for 2 minutes per day it'd be worth it!!!

Yeah, but the rest of us get to enjoy looking at the other mods on your car, the new grill, bumper, rims, etc. The door sills won't thrill us as much as the rest of the Max.

Couldn't have said it better myself. Any mods you do to your whip should be because you will enjoy it and no one else. If you do it to please others, than you're doing for the wrong reasons, not to mention wasting your money.

Me or that Castor deusche bag?
I was seriously making a comment about teh 645iS having very nice door sills. They could be used as a copy point to make the ones for the max.
